An elephant unleashed its inner DEA agent in China recently. After police were called to relocate 4 elephants, they videotaped one of them discovering a backpack and flinging it into the air. That backpack ended up having over 6 pounds of pure opium inside. WATCH HERE

WEED AND KIDS DO NOT MIX🍃

Since marijuana became legal at the start of 2021, over 30 recreational dispensaries have opened, making legal access to the drug as easy as 123.
While these changes may have an overall positive impact, a disturbing trend has come to light along side accessibility.
Children are getting into edibles.
Over the past four years, the Poison Control Center has witnessed a consistent rise in cases involving children who unintentionally consumed cannabis.
In July alone, they received 30 calls about such cases, with children aged 1 to 12 being affected. In 2021, the center treated over 150 children who ingested edibles, with the majority under 5 years old and the rest aged 6 to 12.
While most children show the typical signs of being high, there are those that have much more serious reactions.
While rare, some children who consume marijuana edibles can experience seizures, breathing difficulties, or slowed breathing, necessitating the use of a ventilator. These situations can be life-threatening.
The legal side of things.
New Jersey's regulations prohibit the sale of marijuana products resembling most food items, but gummies are still legally sold. Parents can also create their own edibles using legally purchased marijuana.
With these two truths, preventing children from getting into the tasty treats currently falls to the parents. Luckily for them, if this happens, there would be no legal consequences for calling 911.
The state also plans to launch a safe use campaign, aiming to educate the public about responsible marijuana edible use. Legal products are required to be child-resistant and opaque, discouraging children from accessing them.
Whats next?
Sadly, the trend of children getting into edibles does not seem to be slowing down.
Irresponsible parents are going to need to bare the consequences of their actions, and continue to educate themselves, as well as their peers on prevention methods to protect their children from possible harm.
Don’t forget to lock up the gummies. 👀

PICKETS START AT NEWARK AIRPORT🛫

If you’ve flown out of Newark airport recently, theres a high probability that you’ve experienced delays, or even cancellations, for no apparent reason.
Unfortunately, it was not only you who was let down.
Off duty United flight attendants have begun to Picket outside of Newark airport yesterday, with a potential strike in the future.
“To demand United fix the operational issues that we've had plaguing us for over a year Now”
Those are the exact words from a flight attendant at the event.
Flight attendants are landing in airports with no idea where they are to go.
They may land in a foreign city with no hotel booked, leading to a lack of rest and inability to work.
At the end of the day, these issues are a result of serious operational problems that stem from executive decisions and lack of staff.
What do attendants want?
apparently, the same thing that pilots who went on strike two months ago wanted, reliable management and/or higher pay.
At the current trajectory, both customers and employees will continue to suffer when flying United. Flights are unreliable due to issues with staffing.
How much is United making during these strikes and pickets?
$1.08 Billion.
Operating a business as large as United is surely a difficult ask, but the corporation is going to have to step up their game in order to make both customers, and employees, confident in United.
(If I have one more flight cancelled, I will lose my mind)
