The End of the Nurse Strike
One U.S pilot accidentally ejected from his fighter jet last night over South Carolina. The only problem? He left it on autopilot. Now the military is asking for your help to locate this $80 million jet that is mindlessly flying over the country.

NEW BRUNSWICK NURSES: BACK TO WORK?
On Thursday, September 14th, Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) representatives and union leaders met after a month long stalemate.
Now, federal mediators overseeing the negotiations have given the parties two options to decide on by tomorrow:
The union accepts the previously rejected contract terms proposed by RWJ on August 2nd
Bring the nurses back to work and both parties accept the federal mediator to come up with terms that both parties will have to accept.
Out of those choices, option three is looking most unlikely, as we have come to a point where neither party has much of a negotiating advantage.
$54 million on replacement nurses..
..is the figure that RWJ is claiming it has already spent over the past 6 weeks of striking.
This has allowed RWJ to remain open and continue to care for patients (plus produce revenue), but the hospital claims that this is impossible to continue.
On the other hand, the 1,700 nurses have not only lost their wages, but their benefits have expired after not working enough hours over a 30 day period.
This leaves two options
It would make no sense expecting nurses to accept the terms of a contract thats already been denied, right?
Well, RWJ is arguing that union leaders never proposed that information to the nurses, and were insistent on striking when it wasn’t needed.
In response the statement made by Union leaders “The hospital is trying to break us”
RWJ states:
Who is trying to break who? How can that be said about a hospital that offered a very generous package, in terms of wage, benefit and staffing standards that would result in the hospital’s nurses being the highest paid nurses in the history of New Jersey? That was the hospital’s plan. Union leadership clearly had a plan to lead its members into a strike.
We can all hope that this game of he-said she-said comes to an end soon, with both the nurses, and hospital happy with the contracts that they produce.
Keep your eyes out tomorrow for an update, and if you get a chance, hug a nurse!

Today is national cheeseburger day! Instead of sending you the best deals at fast food restaurants, here are the best cheeseburgers throughout the state, chosen by professionals. (me)
NORTH⬆️: Krugs tavern, Newark
Something of a local legend, the burger at Krugs will be sure to impress. It may be a little pricey, but you’re getting your moneys worth both in taste and size.
CENTRAL🔄: Brunch Burger, Mistral, Princeton
Where fancy meets casual, the Mistral brunch burger changed my idea on the concept of an egg on a burger. It may actually be the bacon jam that did it, but all I know is they do it right, and it is a must try.
SOUTH⬇️: Burger Bar, Camden
Rated “Best burger in the hood hands down” on yelp, its safe to say that the burger bar is respected near and far for its classic seafood burger. The place to stop after a day in Philly.
Have yourself a week, New Jersey!
