SEN. MENENDEZ FACES NEW CHARGES, ACCUSED OF BEING AN UNREGISTERED AGENT OF EGYPT🇪🇬🇺🇸
Federal prosecutors have issued a superseding indictment against U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey, alleging that he conspired to act as an agent of Egypt and Egyptian officials.
The indictment accuses Menendez of violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which requires individuals to register with the U.S. government if they are acting as an "agent of a foreign principal."
It is alleged that in May 2019, Menendez, his wife, and a business associate met with an Egyptian intelligence official to discuss an American citizen injured in a 2015 airstrike using a U.S.-made Apache helicopter by the Egyptian military, and that the citizen would “sit comfortably” if Menendez were to help in other matters that benefit Egypt.
The charge comes in addition to previous allegations of accepting bribes and having over $100,000 in gold bars and almost half a million in cash.
This news comes soon after video of the wife of Bob Menendez (Nadine Arslanian) hitting and killing somebody with her car.
What next?
Menendez has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and more than 30 Senate Democrats have called on him to resign, though he remains defiant.
The question now, will he able to stand strong with new indictments and news of his wife killing a man breaking? Negative press is piling on and holding out is seeming less and less like an actual possibility.
Will Menendez resign, or be driven out?

130,000 RESIDENTS LOSE HEALTHCARE THIS SUMMER🚑
A recent report reveals that nearly 130,000 low-income or disabled residents in New Jersey lost their Medicaid coverage over four months as the federal government mandated states to review eligibility for publicly subsidized health insurance due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
New Jersey's Department of Human Services reviewed the qualifications of around 840,000 members and found that 15% were no longer eligible, mainly due to increased income, health status changes, or inability to provide required paperwork. While 30% of the members were reenrolled, approximately 400,000 are still under review.
Cause for concern?
Advocates for low-income individuals express concern about the growing number of terminations and the procedural reasons behind them. They worry that these changes may disproportionately affect people of color and those of mixed race, who make up the majority of Medicaid members nationwide.
New Jersey officials aim to proceed carefully during the year-long eligibility review process, actively encouraging members to verify their eligibility through calls, texts, and postcards. However, concerns about the complexity of renewal forms and a lack of communication persist.
New Jersey's Medicaid program expanded during the pandemic, covering 2.3 million residents.
The impact of these eligibility changes is a significant concern for those who may still qualify but face procedural obstacles in maintaining their Medicaid coverage.
State officials suggest that some individuals who no longer qualify for Medicaid may be eligible for federal and state subsidies to purchase health insurance through the state's Obamacare marketplace.
The review process has resulted in a rising number of terminations, with most disqualifications attributed to procedural issues, emphasizing the need for clearer communication and better transition options to alternative coverage.
